First of all, Archetype doesn't matter for the Out Of Position Penalty. All that matter is position. A blocking FB, a scat FB, and a rushing FB will all receive the same OOP penalty for playing at TE.

As for the penalty itself, well, nobody knows. Bort and Catch have never released the exact numbers. But we do know that the penalty gets worse the further away a dot gets from their natural position. A C can probably play G or OT without too bad of a penalty, but I wouldn't try them at WR.

I've used FBs at TE before without too much trouble. Probably best to just get more TEs if possible though, unless all that is available is TERRRRRRRRRIBLE TEs or you're that desperate for depth chart slots.

as referred to ...... penalty is minimal for FB at TE on certain teams in certain leagues ..... some leagues playing the OOPP will be very detrimental .... .... anyway , limited success , avg performance at best , sometimes the switch is unnoticeable if your actual TE's are weak ..... ....

if you are wanting to add to or improve the blocking at TE (on a limited basis) the OT can also be used ....

if you are actually trying to get a pass caught at TE , a WR might be the best sub ....

FB and TE should have minimal OOP penalty but I forget this is Dotball, not football.
