I have a WR that has been on about 8 different teams now. End of each season, the owner goes inactive and losses the team. Then I am forced to put an ad on the marketplace and prepare for another losing season again. To me, this is def. game breaking. Its as if I am forced to create my own team, just to ensure I have a stable team that wont get creamed and dismantled every year.

1. Try being an active poster in your team and league forums.
2. Build your rep and make connections with owners and GM's in said forums

Do better homework, sign with known owners that have been active for a long time.

I see these replies, and no offense they make me chuckle. You do realize that majority of the players are casual players? Players want to build their players put them on a team, and watch the progress. 5 minutes a day, every 2-3 days. Most people don't want to scour forums looking for owner history etc... just to see if the team he/she might join is going to go down the toilet.
You guys are talking about having to be active in the social glb world. That shouldn't be a must. As a casual player, I shouldn't be forced on 8 teams and make a forum post about how its annoying as hell, just to get on a team that might last longer than a season.
You can take my observation or leave it, doesn't matter to me, I am only pointing out a negative that will more than likely cause me to leave this game, and looking at what GLB is now compared to what is was in seasons 1-10 I think it needs as many players as it can get.
My suggestion, because what is a complaint without a solution of some sort? .. Force teams to pay for multiple seasons. If you want to own a team, then make them buy it for 3+ seasons. That won't stop the issue, but it will help.

8 different teams
8 different owners
1 player
Seems like there is a common denominator in what is causing teams to fold
Oh and casual players are going to find casual owners. Most people buy a team thinking it's easy to find coordinators or it's easy to do it themselves. They have no idea what it takes to run a team and a successful team. You want to be a casual player and be on a real team, find a network that will take you and they will probably have teams that stick it out.

jpjn made a joke out of it, but he touched on a serious point... if you've picked 8 team owners in a row who ended up being one-and-done, that tells me you need to change the way you pick a team.
Are you just accepting the first offer that comes along? If so, that's your problem right there.
You don't need to spend hours and hours doing in-depth research on dozens of teams owners, but right now I'm guessing you're not doing any research at all. Find a happy medium, and be patient. When you make your marketplace ad, say in the ad that you're going to take 2 or 3 days to pick a team.
As offers come in, spend 1 or 2 minutes looking up the team's history. Really doesn't take long. If they yo-yo back and forth between good seasons and bad seasons, odds are they're one of the many teams that bounces back and forth between Competitive (where they kick ass) and Elite (where they get their ass kicked), and sooner or later a team like that is going to reset or fold. Decline their offer.
If you get offers from several teams that have a history of consistent success, send a quick PM to the team owner and ask a few questions about the team to make sure they're a good fit for you. If they make extravagant promises, I'd avoid them. If they write with the approximate skill of a 4-year-old, be wary. If they sound like they actually have some idea of what the fuck they're doing, keep them on your list.
After fielding offers for a couple of days, pick the best team and accept their offer.
And that's it! You're done! Should take 30 minutes of work, tops, spread out over 2 or 3 days.
If you're not even willing to put in 30 minutes to find a good long-term home for your dot, well, LOLU. Better get used to having to find a new home every season after your team resets. Again.

Just make a PLFT post saying you only want teams who plan to be around for multiple seasons.
