#1 offensive line ranking of some sort-would keep more interested as that is the lowest flex position, but a big part of game

Changed your title to what I think you were suggesting. The positions are already tracked, so I'm imagining you mean something like an MVP type thing

I think he's not looking for a singular dot recognition... but a complete Offensive Line Recognition... combining ALL the O-Line dots' (non STOP archetype only) stats to arrive at said conclusion. Greeny, correct me if I'm wrong here.

MVP for O-linemen or even a O-line recognition are both great ideas.

Like the idea.

I actually think 100% flex return at retirement for non-glamour positions would be a good incentive for people to create them. Or maybe 90% would be better. Just something more than usual/

I think you would have to do the Dline as well.

D-line accounts for more stats.

Basically, O-line gets no love unless they get 500 pancakes a season, then maybe they will break into the offensive MVP top 10

I think this formula probably get the worst results

+1 to awards or honors for linemen, but -1 to an MVP contest.

there aren't enough decent stats to merit another MVP cateogry IMO. you've pretty much got pancakes, hurries allowed and sacks allowed and that's it. how would you possibly balance the performance of run blockers (lot more pancakes) and pass blockers (a lot less pancakes)? tracking of sacks allowed is almost as buggy as receptions allowed. plus, it would be very hard to balance between OTs, Gs, and Cs. OTs would probably never get MVPs while Gs would probably get a ton. would also be easy to manipulate by putting certain guys on the FG/PAT team line.

btw, wouldn't O-lineman be eligible for Offensive MVP awards anyway? can't recall ever seeing one listed, but in theory...

Maybe just give them a slight boost in regular MVP race so we see one in there every once in a while if they are just dominating compared to other linemen. But it would be hard for pass blocking Linemen to get recognition over run blocking in an MVP Race. You'd have to find a way to add points for least hurries or sacks and add points for your number of plays. But the different positions would make it difficult too. Finding a way to glamour them more would be good, but I don't think MVP Race will work. Keeping more flex when you retire though may help people use them more a little bit.

D-line already has a chance. DEs get a ton of TFL, sacks, and hurries.

Adds to the game, shouldn't cost Bort much time either.

I still wish that there was some kind of formula for passing out best at each position.

I can edit the title again if that's the case, just let me know

as for the idea of o-line recognition, I'd love it.... but it might be hard to do the formula. Something like take your teams pass / run percentage into account and use that to weight the importance of your pancakes vs sacks / hurries allowed.
