Basically still using my free player to kind of get a grasp of what I should be doing with him. Poss WR. Need to know if he's on the right track, what I should do, and if he's even good at this point in his career with his current attributes? Still learning when to cap what attributes, how to spend my vets and what kind of numbers I should expect from him throughout the season. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

1) You don't have any VA's assigned??
2) Your EL should not be lower than your actual level
3) Your jumping should not be higher than your agility
4) Are you multi training 4 attributes? If so...which ones?
5) Did you enhance the training of any attributes?
6) Are you still putting skill points into your main attribute?

1. No
2. Did not know that, so how do you avoid that?
3. I was told to put points early into jumping as a poss WR instead of the agility.
4. Yes, Speed, Agility, Jumping, Catching.
5. All of the ones noted in 4.
6 As of right now I was told not to spend any SP until my agility got to 33.

He can still fix it pretty easily IMO it won't end up a top notch WL player but he can be successful.

I'd personally stop multi-training and start intense or normal training agility for a few caps at the very least. Use the script for the VPB you can find it in the greasemonkey section.

Also yes...stop taking advice from whoever you are.

The keys to a high SP value are:

* You should be multi-training by your second season, with some training enhancements (20-50% for the attributes you unlocked / 10-20% for the attributes you will be training for a season or two)
* You should spend your SPs into your primary attribute as soon as you can hit the next cap, and continue with that attribute until you get it to a where you are done with it (usually 77-86, depending upon if you are training it as part of your multi-training or not), then do your second highest attribute, then your third, etc... You should prioritize your attributes based on which you want higher at end build and which get the highest gains per level up (ie. which are your primary attributes).

To do this, you really need to have an idea of what a good player of the same type as yours looks like at or near plateau. If you don't know where you want to end up, you can't really figure out how to get there.

For a Possession WR, you typically are looking at: 110-120 Catching, 120-130 Speed, 85-90 Agility, 75-80 Jumping, then ~60 Stamina / Carrying / Vision.

Thus, you want to cap Catching, Speed, and Agility first, followed by Jumping, then you can do the others in whatever order you feel like. Since Catching and Agility are primaries, and Speed is a secondary for a Possession WR, I would cap Catching first, then Agility, then Speed if I were building one. By doing that, you ensure that you get the most out of those gains from leveling.

TBH, your player is already in a pretty deep hole. You should probably start over next season.

For some help with your future builds; All dots have a "primary skill" that most good dot builders attack very hard... taking it pretty high up before moving to the next important skill (somewhere around 85-95... and some go higher). And yes, check out the various forums for some solid advice on what you're wanting to build. Also, if you can, there are some "scripts" out there you can use to help you as well. One of the best is the VPB (Virtual Player Builder). Hope all of this helps you out. And there's nothing wrong with asking questions... even if some folks give you grief about it. And finding a mentor is a good idea. It's what I had for many seasons when I first started. Can't thank them enough.

this is true or you could make your poss rcv a speed arch type when you reroll this making speed a major

Possession receivers are so clutch, I love them. Especially if you get 95+ catching natural. I go with 11/11 route run/sticky hands, two catch AEQ, one fake AEQ, one fake CEQ, then get PTP/Slot Machine/Possession Rec/catching VA as a stack. Drop that dot into WR3 and feed them the ball.

there's an awful lot of opinion being thrown around as fact in this thread...

first and foremost, there's about 3 different flavors of Possession WRs. If you're going for pure possession with ultra high catching, then you do want jumping to be higher than agility to help with the catch ball roll. If you're doing a fake based WR, you'll want agility to be higher.

the order of capping doesn't make a huge difference, if you balance out the number of caps. You could do Jumping first and only 2 or 3 cap it. This actually could make sense to do because as a pure possession WR, you'd want to be max height anyway.

you can also adjust your equipment plan. For example you could cap speed 4th or 5th and then stack all your equipment there and still get a dot with the attributes Plankton listed above (which are decent targets to shoot for btw...)

here's an open build or 2... different types of possession WRs from World League
