I was looking through some of my dots checking out award and such, and noticed my Kicker is ranked "9th Global K/P Rank" (Under Current Season)

How are these listings decided?
I'm not actually sure how the HOF works, all I know is that it's broken.

1) It does not consider blowout adjustment or % value to the team the way MVP does;
2) It does factor in the league you are in, but because of the ease of obtaining stats, most single season HoF dots come from Reg Pro Comp or Normal or Casual;
3) WL dots almost never make it on this list because stats are much harder to come by and the factor is not enough to compensate.

This in a nutshell.

The current setup would be akin to having the NFL Hall of Fame dominated by players who racked up stats in middle school. The continued dominance of players that would be the equivalent of Red Grange-era players is also a contributing problem. Because of those two problems, modern era dots that did their work against the best competition in the game (the World League) aren't rewarded with an appropriate ranking.

Global rankings more or less work though. As do HoF rankings for other positions besides K.

Apparently it's possible to be the #1 global ST dot and #1 ST HB in your league but be #2 in the ST MVP race to another HB despite having 9K + more return yards and 80+ more return TDs: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player_awards.pl?player_id=4298881

Some can be MVP AND be in the HoF. It is possible.

9 Time MVP, #2 all time STs WR, #2 for his age group, #9 all time STs player. Wasn't a one man show to cheat the system as four of his teammates won MVPs as well and many times his teammates won MVP equipment even if they didn't win MVP because they were in first, second, or third.

The reason HoF is different is because there were seasons that predated blowout adjusted stats.

The HoF rankings don't work, for the reasons mentioned earlier (over-abundance of waaaaaaaaaaay early season dots and over-reliance on "middle school" statistics racked up in leagues other than World and Pro).

That's fine if you fall into the "less" camp of "more or less" but it's not broken for other positions in the same was as it is for kickers.

Yeah, that HB has won MVP every season thus far and is already the #5 All Time ST HB and #40 All Time ST dot. He'll pass up your WR on that list soon enough.
