should this be reported as a bug? the TE makes the catch and clearly starts moving forward with the ball (has possession) then gets hit by the MLB and ball is "knocked loose". there's at least 7 ticks between the catch and the supposed KL.

i think either it should be a forced fumble or its one of those cases they talk about where what you see is not what's really happening.

Truth. Considering we're talking about dots (no arms, legs, heads... anything) and having been told many, many times that sometimes what you see in the replays doesn't equate to what is actually transpiring... then this play should be taken as catch, but not control/making a football move. Therefore, a KL and INC.

Probably for the best that it was "ruled" incomplete... a fumble would've probably been recovered by the D.

Could also be the ball was still being juggled a bit by the TE.

i dunno. the time gap seems awfully long. when the receiver doesn't quite have the catch pulled in is when you see them stop just stand there with the ball--here he's moving forward with the ball (if you can trust the graphics).

here's some other knocked loose plays from same game--all of which look like what you typically see in a KL play

and one that looks a little like the one in the OP, but the time lapse is only half as long

God forbid the D recovers a fumble.

Replays are not accurate (broken)... as they claim, do not trust the replays... unless reporting for bugs. Oh wait!

perhaps he was juggling the ball and it got knocked loose within that process

Possible... or also another possibility could be this:

There is no ball, there was no catch, and a fumble/knocked loose never happens

All this given that the so called ball is nearly 2 yds long, how do we really know the dot moved as far as it looks.
Also, 2 yards could have been 2 inches given the proportions.

The size of the football alone should make it clear to not rely on replays for anything accurate.

remember that KLs get extra bonuses, so if it wasn't a KL it could have easily been a catch
