Is there a good rule of thumb to determine which teams will be in Elite the next season, and which teams will be in Competitive?

(Besides the obvious, conference winners are in Elite, etc...)

If you make it past the first round in playoffs, I'm pretty sure you head to Elite.

even if you dont, you can still be sent to elite. WCG lost 1st round and was sent to elite but TTRR lost 1st round and was sent to competitive #2. gg glb.

support can and does make changes if you request and have a good case. often the squeaky wheel gets the grease.

can't prove 100%, but seems like teams that ask to move up from where the auto-sort puts them seem to get more results than teams than ask to move down to a less competitive league/conference.

other problem is that the process is highly dependent on which Admin who ends up with your request. I had teams moved after the first sort on three of five attempts (if I recall correctly). the two times it didn't happen were both because the Admin (bozdog11 or whatever his name was--now gone, at least as an admin, could still be here as a player) couldn't be bothered with it and was never online during the pivotal/limited time when the moves get made. getting rid of that dude was the best change GLB has made in the past couple years.
