This is not really about the lack of pick 6's - but it is about the coding that displays obvious glitches that could be corrected.

Fix the damn coding that forces the defender making the interception to follow the path of the ball right back toward potential tacklers - even if they have a wide open field available to them. Having it coded so any defender making a pick in the open will continue along the path of the pass until he gets within x number of feet of a tackler is just silly.

While you are at it you might add some code that gives the defender making a pick in their own endzone at least a chance at dropping for a touchback instead of always trying to run the ball out.

example - (I could give more but I don't think there are any examples of a touchback).

But it is a pick 6 issue. If the interceptor, who likely with very good vision to begin with, did a vision check right after the catch roll to determine the best open field to run towards, it would change the entire tone of the game. My preference is to do just that. Allow the CB full use of his attributes after the catch and perhaps give the intercepted QB a real life buff in those instances to give him more speed and tackling.

However, my understanding is that is intentional in order to nerf the pick 6 part of the interception.

Yes! This is a no brainer and should be implemented regardless.

How about have the KR/PR slider for how far into the endzone to return a kick double for Interceptions in the endzone?

Complicating things is the fact that CBs have nothing in the "carrying" attribute.

INTs are OPed in the current sim, tbh. Because the way the sim is designed, the QB can't "throw to a spot" that his guy can get the ball and the other guy cannot. Instead dots have this really broad circle around them that always gives the defender first crack at the ball. Defenders on aggressive get a chance to jump the route (even in man coverage lol), while the WR is stuck running the route even if his defender is pulling back five yards to where the ball is actually going.

Even if the defender misses the INT, the over the top coverage guy still gets a crack at the ball because his "circle" of deflection extends far enough to cover the WR.

The whole passing design is now, and always has been, a broken concept.

agree. I don't have any problem going back to when good CBs got pick 6's regularly. even if they got more than real-life CBs, it was still a lot closer to reality than the current sim and made games more exciting.

Sorry - I guess this is my bad. I have never really built an Int CB before but I noticed that whenever he made an Int in the open field he reacted as shown. I did some checking to make sure it wasn't just my dot, and I saw it was pretty much GLB wide. Figured it had to be some kind of bug, but apparently it is an intentional nerf.

It's GLB so I am not surprised. lol

Maybe the rest of this isn't going to be fixed but this would be an EASY fix. We already have settings for returners as to how deep the kick to return out of endzone... simply add that to defensive dots as far as int's in the endzone are concerned.

Not true. Unless you can find something else. There has never been a ruling that I've seen regarding interception returns from the end zone.
