Don't schedule the same out of conference game in the preseason & in week 1, especially the last game of preseason.

Add one more team per conference across the board. (17 teams)
Get rid of interconference games as this would allow for all 17 teams to play each other once.

Then eliminate 1 league per level across the board...
Excluding WL, NatPro and CasPro

Reduces CPU bloat, creates more competitiveness, and solves the rematch issue with preseason and regular season.

Three birds with one lolsuggestion

16 game schedule "works"......... 17 really doesn't. Also, the argument for getting rid of leagues is counter intuitive......... how about reducing cost and workload, and adding more agents instead via advertising and much better tutorial process so newer agents actually stick around?

Re-read....

17 teams, not 17 games... what would 17 games do for this?

yep, 17 teams doesn't divide by 2, but i'd be ok with bye games if it means getting rid of the inter-conference game.

As for the OP specifically, agreed.

Still missing the math... 1 team (your own) plays 16 other teams = 16 teams in the same conference... top 8 still go to the playoffs, bottom 9 play interconference blah games as they don't matter any more after the season ends.

9a - 9b - 10b - 11b - 12b
10a - 10b - 11b - 12b - 13b
11a -11b - 12b -13b - 14b
12a - 12b - 13b -14b - 15b
13a - 13b - 14b - 15b - 16b
14a -14b -15b -16b - 17b
15a -15b -16b - 17b - 9b
16a -16b - 17b -9b - 10b
17a - 17b - 9b - 10b - 11b

All season ending matchups so lolgames, but the 8 team playoffs would be no different

Could also switch to a 15 game season to eliminate the inter-conference game. If you had 17 teams, 1 team would have a bye each week.

Maybe my math is wrong... I will recheck it after this question

With the 16 teams in each conference now, if the statement is accurate that with 17 teams, 1 team would have a bye each week....
Either this is correct and as it is now the interconference game that is played actually replaces 1 in-conference game.

Do all teams within the conference not currently play each team within their conference at least 1 time per regular season?

You play every team once. Since there are 16 teams, that is 15 games. To get to 16 games, you need to play 1 team from the other conference.

If you had 17 teams, you would play each team in your conference 1 time but each week, 1 team would have a bye.

Why the heck did I miss that lol

Ok... well now I am torn as this would prolong the season even further.... 15 games, yea! and let all teams start off with 1 win .
