Tried to enroll in the Pro Tourney just there and there was no enroll button enabled.
It just said:

Tourney
Open Enrollment
This tournament is open for enrollment for eligible teams.

I assume this is an error rather than a change in policy?

Don't they usually keep the Tourney enrollment closed until like Day -5 or Day -4 or something? Seems like they always make an Announcement when Tourney enrollment opens, and I don't think they've made that announcement yet this season.

Can someone check if there is a problem allowing WL teams to enter this tourney?

They aren't in Pro. I don't see the problem. Their league is the only tournement that matters.

maybe just teams that have opposites in their team name aren't eligible this season

yeah, I set up Heavenraisers in the tourney yesterday, but I know that Parrish and Burnside could not get in. Eh, I liked having the WL teams in the tourney. yeah it made it tougher for Pro teams, but there were plenty of WL teams that got beat last season by Pro teams.

I guess we are never gonna please everyone. I guess I just wish that everyone in Nat Pro was fired up about being competitive and playing the best teams. If not they can go to Regional Pro and work with plateau dots and learn what works until they are good enough to make the jump. With hundreds of us playing just never going to come to a consensus.

I am glad they kept some more of the close teams in Nat Pro for this season. Looking forward to having more then 8 solid teams with a shot at playoffs.

You were just confused. The tournament registration closes on day -4.

Yeah, that's where Day -4 came from in my brain.

I did just check the Announcements page, though, and I was sorta right... they do usually wait a day or two to open enrollment for Tourneys (though last season they only waited about 18 hours), and they always post an Announcement when they do so. But they didn't post an Announcement this season, even though enrollments are open anyway.

Regardless, if Tourney enrollments are open, then yeah, WL teams should be able to enroll in the Pro Tourney. If they can't, then the OP is indeed correct: something is wrong.
