how can you tag it when your opponent lines up a DT at FB?

Create a special case for when a non-tagged FB is in at FB. Then you can tag all the FBs.

That being said, I can't really imagine a DT doing any damage to warrant the time to make AI changes, lol.

but the inability to tag them exponentially increases the # of outputs. pain in the ass. if they're on the depth chart they should be able to be tagged

this ^

You're more likely to screw something up trying to include the DT into your defense's gameplan. Doesn't make sense considering the OOP penalty is overwhelming for a DT playing offense.

A DT at FB would be weak, slow and blind. Give him the ball and you can expect a fumble.

no one is understanding the problem here. not worried about those guys scoring or even touching the ball.

my DAI (was) set up with no un-tagged permutations.... so for example Pro Set would have 32 inputs. Having an untaggable dot lined up as a blocking FB or blocking TE could mean 128 different input/output sets for some formations for no reason when they could easily be tagged when they go on the offensive depth chart if the system worked right.

Not going to do 128 inputs obviously, but did have to go in and create 3 or 4 new sets of i"default" inputs and outputs for each formation.

You probably should simplify your DAI. Less is more in this instance. With so much involved in yours if you ever have an issue it will be 2017 before you figure it out.

Kind of wanting to be there on the day when eight new formations get released, just so I can see his head explode.

The answer of course is to have the "untagged" formation default to something. Someone is always going to send you a scrim request that you've never tagged or someone will be added to the roster late or something. For example, if I don't tag anyone on a team, they will face the defence as though I had tagged everyone as PQB, RTE, RTE, RHB, RFB.

Whether or not that makes sense I don't know, it is just what I did.
