I only do that to people that ask me really stupid questions after I've offered them a contract.

Like when I put "your ____ will be our returner. Won't play offense/defense" in the text box. Then they send me a PM asking if their dot is going to be our returner and if I'm going to use them on offense/defense.

Well they clearly realized you and they would not get along. Why is that a bad recruiting method. No need to prolong the inevitable and actually talk something out that can't be done. Just because you like to "talk your feelings out" doesn't mean everyone likes to do so. Such a girl.

Just kidding about most of this; you decide which parts.

To be honest, the only part of that I have a problem with is not replying to your PM. I'm guessing he probably sent offers to multiple players and someone else was faster than you and accepted first; hence the retraction. But yeah, he could at least send you a courtesy PM explaining that the spot had been filled and thanking you for your interest. That's what I would do.

Heck, I'd probably answer your questions anyway. Why? Because if the dot I just signed turns out to be a tool or I have another opening at that position next season, you'll be the first person I'll contact to see if you're still interested in joining us. I've gotten dots on my team after a 2-season wait under precisely these circumstances before.

Some team owners just can't see beyond today when it comes to recruiting. There's more to it than just filling your roster up to 55 dots, people.
