I pretty much ignore it on every single dot I build outside of K,P, and QB

The last 20 seasons of dot-builders pretty much have.

There's no point in "completely" ignoring confidence, but for most builds it is the very last thing you train. Many builders will tell you to at least get it to 40 in order to make use of VAs.

Bort announced in the last (maybe a couple ago) Q and As that there is a confidence roll on catching the ball in some situations. I wouldn't ignore it completely.

I've subscribed to that for a while, too. However, I have a plan that could pay huge dividends if I ignore it completely and just let the ALGs handle it. Or, I could pump in just enough confidence in the end. I suppose it could be one of those things that I wait until near the end and make a judgement call.

Hmmm, less than 50% completion pct. per targets last season...

I've always thought confidence was very important - if you think you can, than you can... and even more important in playoffs... but what the hell do I know?

30-40 Con seems to be plenty for any dot imo


when i see dots with 20 Con it gets a little scary
