Just a thought, what the heck does a "head fake" look like in an actual football game, and how in the world can it be anything but funny to view with a big arse helmet on?

Only thing I could dig up an this imaginary "head fake" was a lecture that briefly mentions it by somebody named Randy Pausch.

Head fakes one way, feet go the other...BOOM, head faked.

Yea, similar to a QB that looks off a CB

But considering the "keep your head on a swivel" theory, turning one's head one way and running in the other can't turn out too well that often

Do head fakes even work in football IRL?

When I played we were taught to watch the waist before tackling. Wouldn't even be looking at the runner's head.
