Just a thought, what the heck does a "head fake" look like in an actual football game, and how in the world can it be anything but funny to view with a big arse helmet on?

Only thing I could dig up an this imaginary "head fake" was a lecture that briefly mentions it by somebody named Randy Pausch.

I've seen some "head fakes"... most of which are like what you see in basketball before a no-look-pass. The guy with the ball has already seen where he's going with the ball, so he looks somewhere else to draw the defenses attention then makes the pass without looking. I've done a few of those. In football though, it's more of a "body fake" than a head fake. Want excellent proof of that, just watch Barry Sanders in the open field. I can't tell you how many times he did a "body fake" on some poor safety or LB and you watch as the guy's legs simply go rubber. Most fell on their asses as they futilely made limp armed attempts to tackle thin air. Still one of the best ever.

Yes! Body Fake... or a shimmy "shake and bake", the head becomes a small part of it, but in essence it is a "shake and bake" as we once used to call it.
