I am publically posting this because I think the players deserve the chance to see it. This post is only meant to be informative and respectful, utilizing the facts of the situation only.

I think only the GMs were online to see my post before it was deleted, and I thought others might be interested. This was in response to Sharky's post in the thread "Maroons." My post may seem personal, but that was the topic of the thread it was posted in.

I posted it in our forums because I was frustrated that I had PMed the owner at least 5 times over the last week asking for information, and ideas, to work with moving my player, and did not receive one reply to any of those messages. Subsequently, my player was removed from the defensive position, with no explanation as to strategy or rationale..

At one point yes, I cared about this team. More than just about my player. Not once did I complain about playing time. Riggs is a great FS, and without him this team would fall apart. Up until this last game tonight, I watched the Maroons games replay by replay, trying to find out how I can improve my player, trying to understand the game, trying to figure out how to help the team.

This game was different.
This game, I didn't play.
This is the second game in a row where the depth chart was disrupted, and I don't understand why. I don't understand why Les Drew, Kevin Branch, Antoine Rubideux, Mike Misch, Mike Singletary50, and Miles Baldy were all removed from their position.

My player is only a Maroon in so much as he's a part of this team, but if he's not being used, if this team doesn't need him, then why do you keep him getting minimal XP.

4 -- You WILL get playing time. Obviously, not everyone can start, but you will get playing time. Our philosophy is to have human starters and CPU backups this way no one feels jilted or left out. The only reason we remove players from the depth chart is if they become inactive or disruptive on the boards or chat room. However, in a PM to me and no one else, you can say what you want without recourse. But keep negative stuff off of the boar

I have done none of these, and I have not gotten a single response over the past week of messaging.

Also from the team mission statement:
1 – If you have a problem with your contract, PM me and we will take care of it. It only helps the team if you have the latest and greatest equipment. If you get to level 8 and you don't have the cash to get the upgrades, we will get you that money. If we are unable to meet your needs, we will facilitate a trade. If that is not possible, you will be released.

All I did was ask for someone to work with me, nothing more. No demands, no inappropriate language, no complaints. Just a simple question, can we work something out? I tried to be as tactful as possible, and instead of responding to my message, instead of carrying through with your statements, you removed me and my friends from the depth chart.

How am I supposed to be excited about this team now?

I have upheld my part of the mission statement, 1 I'm active, 2 I changed my attributes per the team's request, 3 I fix my energy for every game (well that will be easy tonight), 4 my stats are viewable, and 5 I had never until now written anything negative in the forums.

Sharky seems to have opened the door however, and I think it's about time I got a response.

Does this behavior uphold the team's mission statement?

don't know the whole story obviously. but sounds lik a crappy situation.

lesson: don't have a mission statement.

Hardly doubt the team would fall apart without me. Hate to see you go. Was actually trying to get you more playing time since you were similar in build with me, but now I understand if you were talking about moving your players.

I like you, but honestly, If I was the owner and someone was saying they are leaving the team when their contract is up, then I would probably already be trying to find someone to fill the spot and giving another player the playing time if we are building towards the future. Kind of the same deal in the NFL and whatnot where a team cuts their veteran players that have been there forever to bring in a young guy that is going to be playing there for a long time to come. Granted its not the same exact thing but in a way if you said you will be switching teams then I can understand it.

Wish you luck on your new team, you can definitely be a solid starter.

The problem is that this game is different and you rely on XP to improve your player. Especially since, in Branch's case (a lvl 18 WR who can't join my new team until next year) dp was cool and allowed Branch to get a new contract that ended at the end of the season instead of on day 23, which is now pointless since he took all of both of our guys off of the depth chart, and some other people that we don't know.

It sucks even more that our players are off the depth chart but still on special teams enough that the FS went up to lvl 14 last game and Rubidoux will go up to 14 next game, rendering them both useless to the new team with the lvl 13 cap until next season.

Hopefully it will be resolved soon, as we would at least like to play this season out once we are useless to the new team.

The future of the Maroons is kind of up in the air right now I think. Boards are pretty inactive aside from the DC/OC (and I'm the OC). The other two actives are you two heh.

Were you two (past tense). I've been banned from the forums, so what little posting you saw of me since I started being ignored will drop down to zero. I tried to get on my new team, but received zero response from my PMs.

In the mission statement it says there will be no negative repurcussions from PMs. I can understand being benched after announcing to leave the team if there were a replacement, but being benched without anyone taking my place doesn't make sense. The most baffling D.C. move was clearing out all of the linebackers completely. Removing LB Mike Misch from the depth chart because his contract expires in 4 days makes absolutely no sense. This seems like a move that is intended to deplete the player's advancement, taking away playing time, takes away XP. I can't say if that was the intention for sure because there was no returned communication from the leadership.

At least now I see what was going on with your roster for our game last night. I couldn't figure out how/why the Maroons' ratings had dropped so much, nor why so many solid players were found riding the pine. And yet you still beat us by 20+ ... lol.

Similar thing happened in our game against Lima in that we had level 10's starting on the offensive line. And a few of us think we could have won that game otherwise. It's strange because I never see the owner on and he is only one with access to depth charts I think.
