Warrior General Games

OK guys we all know the Cobra Kai was one of the better heel teams on GLB. there have been other teams that tried to follow in the Kai's footsteps and become the dominant Heel team on GLB. but no teams really have had the success that the Kai did. so here is my question if a person or group of people. took it upon themselves to create a heel team. what are the most important factors that need to be addressed?

I know the team would need the following.
1.) Great Built dots
2.) Top Knotch Coordinating
3.) Good forum shit talkers

my question here is what else is needed for a team to become the most hated team in GLB. and have all other teams working their butts off to beat them?

Dpride has this covered.

Kai were only relevant to shit teams.

Halifax infuriated the best teams.

you may be right but the Kai were one of the most hated teams in GLB. people would do everything in their power to beat the Kai. I know I had players on a couple of teams that the only game they would gameplan for in the regular season was the Kai. I am not saying they were the best team or anything like that. I am just saying the Kai were the total package when it comes to playing the heel in GLB. they always had a decent team that would finish in the top couple of teams in their league. and if they beat your team you never heard any of the usual GG stuff. it was always some smart ass BS that just pissed people off to no end. and then there was the Leg Swept crap that would just drive people crazy because they got so tired of reading the same thing over and over.

Like after S3 there were people that didn't just laugh at the Kai?

I don't know Ezra I just don't see Dpride as a Heel in GLB. he is just good at the game and he knows it. he doesn't play the part of a heel and alot of his posts are actually trying to help people. or answer questions people have asked. alot of people may not like Dpride but I just don't see him in the same light as the Kai guys.

I thought they were pretty much just the tryhards that became the laughing stock of the forums.

Maybe you guys did but I remember having some really good games against them. I miss having teams like the Kai and the old Saigon Whores that was run by stoutone and taurran. teams like those made me really want to get better at the game and do my best to beat their teams. I think that GLB needs a certain amount of teams or owners like those that keep the game fun. and add a measure of excitement to the game.

I can't really speak for anyone but myself but I didn't see them in that way. I saw them as working to keep GLB fun by playing a role in the game. those guys all got on peoples nerves reading the Leg Swept crap over and over. but they did add some fun and excitement to the game. or atleast they did for me. maybe I am just over thinking of things to try to make GLB fun again. but I know at times arguing with those guys in the forum made for some good times.

Oh, I agree the game definitely needs people to hate.

I think you're just giving Kai way too much credit.

Time and the insistence on carebearing the forums after I stepped down pretty much killed everyone's cares.

you may be right I guess when I was playing against the Kai I wasn't very good at the game. hell in all honesty I still am no good at the game. but facing them made me try harder.

I agree I think alot of times the moderation of the forums is a little to strict and seems it is never consistent. but I do think the Mods have a thankless job as well. they are trying to do a good job and we as forum posters will never be happy with how everything is done pertaining to forum moderation. so to me I see it this way if I break a forum rule. then I know I have done wrong so if I catch a ban then I deserve it. most of us know right from wrong and we should be able to act like mature individuals in the forums. the maturity thing goes both ways though.

Kai didn't succeed on wins, they succeeded in the forums, if they didn't spam their "kick the leg" or whatever it was so much, no one, other than the opposing teams would have heard of them.
