Cant we just get this already. It sucks you get half way through and then 1 week you forget and your out of it. I know stop being lazy and just do it because it is your fault.

Heck if we cant get an alert for League Survivor then I say do away with putting the next game on the home page for each team since were not about giving a heads up.

Give us the Alert already.

As long as you can opt out I'm OK with it. If you add too many alerts they'll become meaningless. A user configurable alert system would be great though.

You entered 4 contests this season and are still alive in one. Some of us do every league and still remember

I did this the first few seasons I tried. But now I am just in the habit of checking every day.

I entered about a half dozen this season and forgot to pick week 2 in all of them. Even with that I don't want League Survivor alerts blowing up my alert box.

I am not positive what this is a response to, but if I understand correctly this is actually quite logical. If you are doing something more often then it is likely you will form a habit around it. Therefore it is less likely you would forget than someone who is not doing it as often.

I forget about survivor at the beginning of every season... You know that they even exist. I still don't want it.

-1. You are not allowed to have a life and be successful at this game.

Well,

Lets check out Catch's criteria for a suggestion to be implemented:

There are often a number of factors that go into whether we implement a suggestion or not and ultimately it comes down to the following:

1) Will it improve the user experience with the game
2) Is there a business reason for implementing the suggestion
3) Does the cost of devoting the coding time to implementing the suggestion make sense

All three of those things must be yes answers for us to even consider implementing a suggestion and then we have the final determining factor in question #4.

4) Do the developers feel the suggestion works with their vision of the game

1. Will it improve the user experience with the game - I would say yes to this one. As long as it can be turned off if users want.

2. Is there a business reason for implementing the suggestion - This is kind of a toss up. Implementing this wont generate any more revenue or bring in more users. Not implementing it may continue to alienate users from the game so it could add to the eroding user base.

Lets say it gets past #2 Then we have:

3. Does the cost of devoting the coding time to implementing the suggestion make sense - this is a definite no and where most good suggestions die. It has become very clear that GLB has no interest in devoting resources to anything but the new games.

But....... just incase a suggestion is so good it pass all 3 tests and then actually gets considered for implementation, we have.....

4. Do the developers feel the suggestion works with their vision of the game - this is basically the equivalent to your parents telling you to do something"Because i said so" or a simple way to tell the userbase to GFY, it's not your game and we will do what we want.

So there you have it. In breaking down this good suggestion and applying the rules GLB has to implement suggestions we can determine that although this is a good suggestion that many people would want, it is just NGTH.

I would rather the ability to make picks in advance...like up to 4 days even...than get an alert

I rarely log in on weekends, and I know I'm gonna not log in a time or two during the week over the course of a season, so I don't even bother with survivor

You broke down #1 and #2 pretty well. This suggestion may stall (and potentially die) at #3, no argument there. They have made it very clear that newer projects are priority but there is work being done on GLB. The work that's being done falls into #4. If they feel something, say new defensive formations or new offensive formations/plays, are more important than a user based suggestion, then that's what they'll do.
