Is there any information out there on how MVP's are handed out?? Or even how you get into the top 10??

I have 3 punters, and all are either leading their conference in punting average or are second, but only 1 of the 3 is even in the Top 10 for MVP for K/P. And yes there are plenty of other punters in the Top 10.

Don't shoot the messenger, but I believe for punter it looks at total yards, not average. That means a punter on a crappy team with more punts with a bad average will be higher in MVP standings than a top punter on a great team with the top average.

Punters on terrible teams usually win.

yea I had a punter with 26 CC's one season and he did not sniff the top 10

eta: he only had 125 punts that season and team was pretty good so yea good punters on decent teams never sniff MVP http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=4348327

thats because he also only punted 15 yards every time and got 66 PR TDs against.

well to be fair, if i had a punter who punted once and it went 60 yards, and the guy in second punted 300 times and his highest was 50 yards... why the fuck would my punter deserve mvp?

I feel my punter that booted 26 CC's was a big part of the team's success that season, especially with 28 inside the 5, 18 inside the 10 ,and 21 inside the 20. He never let the opponent get any field position !

Of course he got -0- respect from the MVP gods

He did not win it for punting, though
