i can send mass contracts and whatnot using a checklist and hitting a "send" button, why can't i delete a bunch of packages at once? plz implement. thanks.

You can do with the the DPC plays, so not really sure why they didn't just add it to packages pages either.

And make sure there's a check all option. It's sometimes easier to uncheck 10 boxes, than check 100.
