Too much Vision and not enough Jumping for my tastes.

What would you suggest stopping vision at?

There is a thread in HB forum that I posted on fairly recently.

http://goallineblitz.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=5078304&page=1#47313599

The build in that post will have similar features to your build. Higher confidence, and jumping being the largest differences with your backs vision being slightly better. I don't know, I feel like I will gladly make the sacrifice of the vision for the jumping and confidence.

agreed

back Vision down to a 1 cap with some coasting into the 50s

stuff all those SPs into Jumping, and pick up Hurdle (it's built into Quick Feet VA anyway)

Confidence to 40 is always nice, so that OTK becomes an option should you decide you'd like to get it, later on

And while lots of agents are decreasing Confidence in many positions, I'd be careful about going too low on an HB. Every Monster or Big Hit drains a good chunk of morale making him more susceptible to fumble-itis.

I like to take vision to 40 just enough to open up short yardage monster. Especially with that strength he wont need to see all the holes.

Not bad. Something to consider though is that you could get your speed higher than just 100. Don't get me wrong, 100 is great. But I've seen some 105's out there and more. Considering your strength is 72, perhaps you could siphon a SP or two from that... or simply pound speed a lot more early on. But what you have is more than likely good enough to do very well.

Its too late for me to put any sp into speed. I can bump up strength a bit more but i was hoping that with the +55 from eq putting him at 155.1 it wouldnt be a huge loss. Thanks for the input.

I don't think there is any need to "siphon" any points from strength in order to improve your speed a few points. I have to assume that he is getting a greater impact from the increase he gets in strength than he would from siphoning those to speed. I would say if he could boost strength a bit higher he would be better off probably, but I am not sure which attribute I would be willing steal from in that build. Perhaps a few points from jumping but I don't think that would make too much of an impact to the strength overall. Just my opinion. Others may be looking for a straight up speed back I suppose with little flexibility in those end results.

I mostly agree. That's why I said his build would do just fine as is. And since he's already done what he's done with speed, it's kinda a moot point now. Doesn't change that I've seen a LOT of 104, 105+'s out there and leaves me wondering is 5 more speed makes it that much better than what he's accomplished with his take on the EB build? Most of mine end up more around 50-ish strength (some more... some less... but all reach 1st cap at the very least)... not that I've build hundreds of 'em. You gotta take on more strength vs more speed? I know PWHB's love that strength... but they usually have the body to back it up. Most EBHB's are built on the smallish side and I'm just not as sure that strength trumps speed/agility enough to give it more than token love. Thanks in advance for any input.

I have an elusive back right now with 68 strength 106 spd and 97 agility. His vision is only at 30 right now so he doesnt find all the holes but he breaks quite a bit of tackles. Ill fill you in on how this back turns out. I may end up backing strength down se but ill see how he is later on as he rounds out.

I have an EHB built very closely to the VPB you posted, couple points lower on strength, a few points higher on agility and vision is about 68 is the only difference. Has had a great career.
