As I have seen and have also been informed, they will change your depth chart and it will be WAI, unless you make sure to check and readjust your entire depth chart again.

Game is not broken, but there seems to be no idea as to why this happens.

If any of you have had this issue (which is not a bug), please comment on when and how it happens, so me and others that have had this experience can determine how to resolve it.

Bugs Dep. doesn't seem to know how to fix, so let us put our heads together if this is indeed still an issue after a number of seasons.

Again, this is not a bug but possibly user error

Making a thread about a locked thread is also against the rules, fwiw.

The problem isn't that the bugs department doesn't know how to fix (not our job, tbh), its that the issue is so inconsistent we can't find the cause. If it tells you anything, I use presets for every game and my base depth chart never changes unless I hit the Apply Preset link or manually change it myself.

Also, there is an open bug ticket on this issue.

Has nothing to do with a locked thread... this is based on user error and a potential resolution from other users?

I only use presets, but when I do, the main/default depth chart gets screwed up. I've never had problems with saved presets changing, only the default depth chart after making changes to a preset.

That is just funky!!! lol

And I have heard about it but to have it happen right before a regular season game is "meh"

But I tend to get over most of the stuff that happens and move on... just having to go back and redo all the depth charts again is something I will be very fond of.

WTF, he's letting user know of an problem. His post doesn't even refer to another thread.

I have seen this as well, and I believe it is just simply a poorly designed or confusing system. If you loaded and are working on a preset, and you hit "update" instead of "save preset", it is updating the main DC and not the preset. Even if it is a loaded preset, you still need to hit save preset to save it properly and hitting "update" will override the main DC with your preset details.

It is confusing for sure, but still user error if you do it wrong.

Base DC, you use preset DC and yet still look at your base DC? For what reason?
This one did confound me some, so just curious if you mean preset AIs or everything is preset?

By whom?

stop hitting "update" when working on a saved DC preset. That updates the main DC with what you currently were working on and there you have your imaginary broken update to the main DC.

To save a saved DC preset (while not overriding the main DC), you have to hit "save preset" each time.

False. I keep my default DC filled in to match my presets for the most part. I do this so the dots on the team know where they are being used.
