I was helping a new owner with his finances and got blindsided by all of his CPU players having salaries in the $700k+ range, so his cash quickly plummeted into the negative, and as such, he had no money for stadium construction, and the team will soon be sold back because he will go into next season very behind in stadium construction.

Here's an old team of mine http://goallineblitz.com/game/roster.pl?team_id=82, and you can see that I had all the CPUs at minimum salaries but as soon as I lost my GM spot, every player who leaves is replaced by a $700k player. I tried to leave the team in good shape financially in case someone bought it this season, as I did not want someone to go bankrupt 2 days after buying the team, because the league penalty was outrageous at those salaries.

I doubt that the finance page is the first thing that many rookie owners look at, and it can bankrupt them before they even notice. I bought it to support's attention, but they did not see an issue with it.

You should always check CPU salaries first, I have gotten teams out of the red many times by merely cutting CPU's

I know that NOW. On the newest team, first thing I did was kill all of the expensive players. I do not remember CPUs being so expensive before. We used to get them in the $170k range that were auto assigned. Still expensive but not a killer. You get 20-30 players costing $18k a day, plus the $600k overcap penalty and a team is in the red before you can blink. That just is not right.

It actually from recycling teams, Bort and co. bring all cpu teams back to rookie, so if it was a Pro team, with cpu players that had salary dictated from the pro league then they keep that salary with the rookie team.

These were regional minors. Some of the players were only $200k, but the vast majority were $700k+.

It's also one more thing souring new players on GLB. Trying to learn how to run a team properly is hard enough without the system working against you too.
