My team had a DC for the past 4 seasons. This seasons he has moved on. Should be no big deal, just move my packages and plays from my other team and I'm good to go.

Well of course that is not the way things work in GLB land. Took me close to an hour to move 10 plays and create 6 packages. I only have 70-80 packages to go. Is this really the way an Alpha polished finished game is suppose to work? These super tedious type tasks really make the game more job like than enjoyable for me.

Couldn't we have say drop downs on packages for easily moving them to other teams? Something? Anything?

Another reason to use 'My Tactics' instead of team-based options.

If I had just one team that would work. If I have 75-90 packages per team that would be 225-270 packages to weed through. Sometimes I use two sets of the base type packages due to having multiple games a day by the same team. I am suggesting drop downs to move plays and packages, 'My Tactics' just is not a great option for me.

Packages don't transfer over or work for other teams. If you have packages in your DAI and set team tactics to allow another team use of the DAI, you just get a bunch of exclamation marks.

Not if everything is kept in your personal tactics. You can keep custom D plays, packages, and AIs all in 'My Tactics.' Then all you have to do is allow a team access to your tactics and it will function properly. I have never used a teams package page, team AI page, or team DPC page and have never had problems.

That really doesn't help me. I don't want to have 300 packages to sort through. I don't see why everything always has to be so cluttered and messy.

My suggestion was drop downs for package and play movement. I take it you DC just one team so it is a -1 from you.

I DC'ed 10 teams last season, 6 this season. It's not a -1, I just don't see the need.

It's easier for me to have everything in one big list, or area. Just a difference in taste I suppose.

Honestly, AIs never should have been tied to teams. It leads to stuff like this. To get it right would take a complete rewrite of the AI system (getting it right would include ways to group packages to prevent issues like you brought up).

Creating copy package functionality could be done but could lead to stuff like play duplication (which would cause complaints, no doubt).

No matter, this would be a fairly large project, imo, and I doubt it would be something the admins would consider worth it. Just my opinion...

That said, under the current system there is merit to this suggestion. I just don't think it will go anywhere no matter how many +1s it gets.

Well my AI and packages will be done mid season then because I don't feel like spending 5-6 hours doing something that should really be instant imo. If I DCed 10 teams that would be near 3000 packages in a huge cluttered list. The inability to sort them makes it even more stupid. Say I wanted to add a package for team 3, it would be down at package 2971 rather than with the rest.

Maybe I am just a bad DC but I don't use the same plays in a package for every team and every opponent. I don't have a one size fits all game plan.

I get really sick of hearing excuses about making things right always being difficult. Don't we all pay for that?

Give me play duplication or what ever, you can delete those.

Delete a duplicate play and you have to replace it in the package with the original. That's basically what you're doing now. That's the problem with the current AI setup. I can think of 2 or 3 possible solutions but all would require what I believe would be a complete rewrite of the current AI system. I just don't think that's going to happen anytime soon. Again, I think there's merit to your suggestion, just don't think they have the resources to throw at it. Perhaps if/when one of the newer games takes off?

I would be perfectly happy with the packages being empty. I don't mind adding the plays. It is the click new package(wait for it to load), click edit(wait for it to load), rename package, submit (wait more), do this 80 times. Then you have to add everything to the AI.

If the empty packages could somehow be moved with the AI it would be great.

I run multiple DAIs from my tactics page with packages. Since all are tied to my own tactics when I make a new DAI the packages are already set up. Maybe add a special character "*" for each separate team to keep them sorted on your page.

A teams packages are tied to that team and shouldn't have the ability to transfer to another team. How does the computer know that those are yours to transfer? It does allow you to copy a team package to your own tactics and from your own tactics to a new team. Not sure why you are creating new packages anyways.

If you are running 70-80 packages per team then maybe consider a simpler approach.

So rather than having a cleaner sleeker system that makes sense I should just cut back on my packages and inputs instead?
