If .5's Exist as Yardage in Games, Sync AI to Recognize Them

Tired of seeing 3.5 yards to go, and then having to create some funky math scheme so it recognizes the .5, even though the AI does not.

And before someone says it "3 or 4 does not equal 3.5"

it really is very annoying

why do i have to stack a "3 to X" yards to go input
over a "0 to 3" yards to go input, when all i really want is 2.5?

thats a lot of headache for nothing... time to fix it already

+1000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000
since this problem has existed since the game's creation

I think what he's saying is that we shouldn't have to account for it at all. And he's right.

We should just be able to enter 2.5 in the AI and have the AI recognize it as 2.5. There's no need for the AI to round everything off to whole numbers.

....aaaaaaaand that's the problem right there. To new players, there's no reason to think that the AI can't read numbers with decimals in them. It's not even something that would occur to someone, which is why it took us old-timers forever to figure it out in the first place.

There's not even a note anywhere on any of the AI screens. You're just expected to know it.

And that is fucking stupid.

You could follow that with a scary number of things.

So, this?

Actually, yes, it's pretty hard to account for something that you have no reason to think you have to account for.

So, here's a Suggestion... if you're not gonna fix this, at least go toss a note up on the AI pages so that people know that only whole numbers are accepted by the AI.

People will still miss it, but at least then we could point to the note and say "Hey noob. Try reading the instructions." Can't even do that right now... noobs are just expected to read Bort's mind or something.

+1 to this, and +1000 to a complete overhaul/update of the AI system. its about time for something more intuitive and user friendly. its not like the technology would be that hard anymore. how about some drop and drag stuff? something a bit more visual?
