If u consider a chance to add 1 yard to your YPC avg just from a VA id say ya its pretty good.

If you need 15 VA's for a "chance" to get 1 yard when you need it than you need a new OC. I can think of so many things that would reap you more benefit with 15 VA's.

Even the best DCs can't stop 3rd & 1 more than occasionally. Once upon a time they could, but not now.

I'm too lazy, but how about you look over your team, see how many of those 3rd and one's end up short compared to those that make it to see if it would really end up helping.
If you have 100 3rd and short and fail half the time, sure. If you have 25 3rd and short and convert without it 90% of the time, not worth it.
I'm guessing it's closer to the 2nd one and it's a waste.

If you have 100 3rd and short and fail half the time, sure. If you have 25 3rd and short and convert without it 90% of the time, not worth it.

yeah but it's more complicated than that
it makes
2nd and 6s into 2nd and 5s. and everyone converts more 2nd and 5s than 2nd and 6s etc

what percentage of pro defensive dots are in wrap up?
to put it another way If it gave you an extra yard 2/3rds of the time you'd basically get 4 downs to make 7 yards. That's less than 2 yards per carry.
Kind of makes you wonder if you could make an offense around D4Y+tenacious

I dont like VA's like this because you are expecting to be tackled. Like build better dots that dont get tackled.
