Just wondering, is there an increase to the number of false starts when having a non-QB player at QB? If so great! If not, there should be. To deter teams from lining up with power and elusive backs at QB

Don't think it's WAY rampant but I have seen it on a fairly regular basis.

That or increase the OPP. Perhaps that could be part of the OPP even.... not sure.

Doesn't matter who is lined up under the center, hike is still hike. irl, the oline doesn't go full retard on wildcat plays, just because the QB isn't behind the center. same should be with GLB. The OoPP is enough of a deterrent imo

Even though teams practice with various QB's and even practice wildcat formations, the change in cadence whenever the starting QB leaves the game and anyone else comes in generally causes a few miscues that are directly due to the change. Also, if you really wanted to take this further, QB's do a lot of assigning blitz pickups and defensive reads which dies off in quality with any form of replacement to the starter (unless you replace with another veteran starting QB collecting dust on the bench). So more than just a few extra "false starts" happen due to the changes... play calling, blitz recognition, and other aspects of the offense also are weakened. Not by TONS... but by small degrees.
