Check him out. I'd love to get him placed in the WL opposite a traditional PP to create a brutal one-two punch to opposing DCs, but I'm willing to consider other options if a team's management can show that it is both active and competent.
Please also note that I have heavily invested into attribute-based VAs, so consider them in addition to the base + EQ numbers--which bring all three major attribute classes between 93.74-99.2 before EQ.
In addition, while Denard is incredibly mobile and has really high vision for finding those open holes, he's also highly efficient in the dump/screen passing game too (unlike my dot's namesake, unfortunately...), so you won't have to worry about your rushing QB lobbing up a punt-like pass for easy picks or incompletions for wasted downs. In fact, this last season, Denard went 71-for-80 passing (88.8%) with 32 TDs, only logging one bad throw. More importantly, in 81 dropback attempts (non-rush snaps), his mobility allowed him to only be sacked once, with no hurries. That said, how many rush-first (note that I didn't say "scrambling" either..) QBs can boast a QB rating of 158.3?
Combined with only being tackled for loss twice, that means that out of 216 snaps from behind center, Denard failed to gain yardage only 12 times. That's a net-yardage gain nearly 94.5% of the time!
