Soooo I am a bit embarrassed because I accidentally deleted Longhorn fan's thread about playoff seeding. I went to reply to ryan_grant's post (quoted below) and accidentally hit delete! As per Ryan's post, if a three way tie occurs it should be determined by the following:

Number of head-to-head wins against the other tied teams with the same record.
Number of total points allowed.
Number of total points scored.

If it didn't work out that way, a link to the league would be helpful so we can take a closer look. We do have an entire FAQ forum that's meant for stuff like this, but just in case ppl from GLB main wanted to add to this thread I am restarting it here for a few minutes before moving it over to FAQ. Sorry I wasn't able to save more posts.

3 Way tie for 5th,

Team A beat team C
Team B beat team A
Team C beat team B

Team A total points scored 1811
Team B total points scored 1369
Team C total points scored 1640

Yet the seeding went
5th Team B
6th Team A
7th Team C

or is it points allowed thats measured?

Edit: Measured points allowed
Team A 271
Team B 223
Team C 220

So it should go
5th Team C
6th Team B
7th Team A

right? I'm not complaining, I would much rather have the 6th seed but it seems flawed

Well I left out a little bit of info, the team in 8th also had the same record, but against the other 3 teams they were tied with they went 1-2. Could that have impacted it at all? (so 3 teams went 2-1 against the other 3, 1 went 1-2)

Yes the team that went 1-2 against the other 3 would be in last amongst those teams in this senario.

This is correct, thanks DarkRogue!

It looks like I can move this over to FAQ now, this question comes up quite a bit during this time of the season

Here's the league (guessing w/ confidence).

GLB's seeding
Sarajevo - 5th
Thunder Bay - 6th
Nevada - 7th
Notre Dame - 8th

All finished 10-6

Record against one another

Sarajevo - 2-1
Thunder Bay - 2-1
Nevada - 1-2
Notre Dame - 1-2

That means we look at Points Allowed to determine 5th/6th seed and 7th/8th seed (two independent calculations)

Sarajevo - 223
Thunder Bay - 271

Nevada - 220
Notre Dame - 466

Explains why GLB ranked them as it did.
