Does this differ per level or is there a general consensus?

If so, what are the recommended tactics for prep league?

In prep you are going to want to be set pretty far towards bullet (if not all the way). Just imo, but the most reliable passing (outside of fail coordinating where you have open receivers) is with comeback type routes at those low levels. With defenders having low vision they don't react fast enough.

It really depends on what your coordinator is trying to do, though. If they're just chucking it deep to some speed guys, being more towards lofty is going to be favorable. At low levels you don't have to worry about safeties or corners making up ground. You can set towards lofty and have some nice long TDs.

it must've been a long time since you've seen or had a QB in the WL because at least a handful or them are more bullet than lofty.

^lol, this

I'd never recommend lofty for high level play unless you want to try and beat our 3-4 defenders on every single pass, lol.

the problem with lofty at any point is that you are going to allow defenders to capitalize. Always on the bullet side no matter what.

He said if you have speed guys and you're chucking it deep you can go lofty. lrn2read?

Am I just supposed to assume he's only referring to prep when the question is about the entire spectrum of the game? Not to mention, lofty is generally a bad idea at every level.

And tbh, QB's abilities don't really differ from rookie to WL imo. It's the receivers that develop.

QB's develop a lot. But not really so tactics wise.

Homage, pretty clear to me Romo was talking about lower-level QBs when he wrote this...

Umm lrn2read yourself he specifically said at prep.. He also said bullet unless you have overwhelming speed receivers

You would still want the bullet side even if you had overwhelming speed WR's.

That may be true, but Homage (and you, a little bit) were acting like Romo was saying "HURR DURR USE LOFTY FROM LEVEL 1 UNTIL LEVEL 87 HERP DERP", and that's not what he said.
