It would make the game a lot more complex, in a good way.

OOP penalty would have to be eliminated in an iron man league, but it could be fun.
I don't think DD wants to fragment the game any more than it already is and adding another type of league would lead to more fragmentation.

I know at one time it was being considered, but that was a long long time ago. Early GLB. Not sure, if it's something they'd consider now. Maybe if they make another version of Football for their future games.

32 teams x 20 players per team is an extra 640 players, if this were to be one league. It's not like players will do iron man INSTEAD of regular GLB. That will just be additional players created.
I know that I would, Iron Man = more plays = more stats = more awesome. Simple really.

This.
GLB has stated they aren't going to add any additional league types (at least at this current juncture in time, who knows x years down the road).

Interested in doing something like that.
I just believe it would be more fun of a challenge to build players like: LB/FB, DT/C, OT/DE, things of that nature.

there was at least one underground Iron Man league that ran for a about three seasons... some of the hard coded problems (like teams had to carry a minimum roster so they had to have 30 CPU guys and make sure they stayed on the bench) made it tough. I played it for one season then realized it was just as cookie-cutter as some parts of the normal game... there was one or two particular ways to build or arrange your roster that were better than all the others and the teams that didn't do it that way were at a big disadvantage. it was just a lot more headaches without a lot more freedom or versatility.

Yep...I also participated in the underground Iron Man League. Minimum roster size was a total pain in the ass.
It was kinda fun b/c you could come up with some really creative plays on offense that your opponent couldn't tag for, but after a while, it got stale.
