First off, I think team chemistry is just ridiculous and needs to be gone, but that wont happen, so I suggest a simple tweak to it.
When players leave the team I think the team chem should not be effected. No matter how or why the player leaves, whether its by choice or retiring or whatever the case. The only time team chem should be reduced is when ADDing players to your team.
I think the higher levels, esp WL, would be much much more competitive if this fix happened. Teams in WL such as Sumatra Seahwaks, Richey Royals, Stewart Ballers, Axis, Detroit Reservoir Dogs, Black hand Mafia among a few others in WL stood no chance this season due to a high player turnover last offseason so they had awful team chem all season.
I cant speak for most teams but for Detroit Reservoir Dogs, we had a big player turnover. It was something like 36 players retired and brought in 36 new ones. Team chem is still not 100/100/100. But that turnover killed our chem and we were basically a BYE on everyones schedule early on. As you can see from scores when we were trying to compete. Not that chem is finally getting better and we arent even trying anymore we are having closer games and even won 2. Had the chem hit from the 36 players leaving didnt effect us we could have competed earlier in the season and potentially be in the PO hunt or atleast be more competitive. Same goes for the other teams mentioned above.
We had WL created to be the absolute toughest league in the game and for everyone to try to make it up there. But its kinda pointless when sometimes the teams tat make it take a bit longer and when they get there they are too old and have to retire so they suffer the huge turnover and chem hit and basically spent all that time trying to make WL, just to waste a season in WL getting thrashed cause the bad team chem.
TL;DR - Make it where when players leave team, it doesnt affect team chemistry. Or just team chem hits by 50% or so.
