I don't consider all silver leagues the same. Obviously #3 is much better than the others.

8 teams will demote from gold next season and 8 teams will promote from silver. Silver changes every season, there is no elite league. 3 teams can promote from league which may leave thee toughest silver league the weakest the following season. I think I've promoted to Gold twice after losing the conference championship game.

8 teams will demote from gold next season and 8 teams will promote from silver. Silver changes every season, there is no elite league. 3 teams can promote from league which may leave thee toughest silver league the weakest the following season. Yep, what Osiris said. Placement in Silver leagues is random, and so is the "toughness" of each Silver league as it changes each and every season.
You want a real challenge, get promoted to Gold and see how you fare there.
