why the heck wont guys stop when their man stops.. This is MAN coverage..they should be watching the man..NOT the qb...NOT the ball.. before some jackass says its rookie blah blah. My guy has 70 agility with gear at this point..WAY more than the wr he is covering I'm sure. How can coverage still be so crappy after 34 seasons...my lord

Also, why do the defenders lead the guy down the field in man?? In all my years of coaching football i have never told a CB to run IN FRONT of a receiver going down field.

You posted a KO play for one. And for two, if it didn't work that way then OC's would bitch to heaven about how they can't get anything done.

i fixed the replay and it makes the game look like crap when the dots dont act even remotely in a football manner.. i build that guy with agility first on purpose cause last season everyone blamed lack of agility on why that happens..thats obviously not it

I'm sure it's got plenty of vision to read when the WR stops at rookie, especially if you have 70 agility

It's just how it works in rookie - cliche answer, but how it is since the SIM-code is built for high levels and low levels just tend to look stupid regardless of builds. Wish it was different and more scaled to dot levels, but it's not and will never be, so have to just facepalm and move along, tbh.

Everytime I see someone having a conniption about rookie play being idiotic, I have to go to youtube and do a comparison just for the laughs

how much frickin vision do you need to watch the same guy the whole play???? if he is a trail position like he should be then it shouldnt be an issue

sorry...i dont look as rookie level as kindergarten level... i think of it as around middle school or freshman ball..

I know and agree to a point - as I said I don't agree with the whole SIM being coded for top levels - but it is what it is and we simply have to deal with it. Doesn't much matter how a low level dot is built as they will still do the same thing. Why everyone builds SPD first which is the only real way to ameliorate the issues though that still gets burned as well.

Can't change what will never change.

It may seem like a cop out, but it is true. That dot probably has less than 40 Agility and Vision, but over 80 Speed. Low Agility + High Speed is like strapping a rocket to a school bus. Can go fast in a straight line, but cant turn or stop quickly at all. Then add in the likelihood to not pass the first vision check to see the cut, and that replay is what you get.

I agree with your premise tho. The solution is either to change the way players progress (i.e. no ALGs so that taking one attribute really high is not better in the end) to make building balanced the best way at all ages, or to make a sim for each age group that takes into consideration the established build strategies. However, neither change is going to be made, so cop out or not, it is what it is.
