Ok, here is my first suggestion of April !!!

...Ready...???

How about only awarding MVPs to dots that are on teams with winning records?
Sound simple enough, right?

Having an MVP going to a player that is on a team that goes 3-13 is kind of perplexing... but such is GLB.

Or if this is already the case, pardon the interuption.

Mad your dot didn't win MVP again, I see.

I am tired of people being allowed to buy a MVP by buying a team then running their player every play en route to a 0-16 season. IThis is just another reason that GLB is lolGLB.

Which one? Hmmm (troll attempt... fail)

I could care less about my players, just a shame that I see decent teams with decent "MVP" players go to the playoffs, and the MVP goes to a player that might as well be on a CPU team

see below...

But not all MVP are lolMVP. I would think that some of the elite leagues would be legit. Right? Or am I really that naive?

Would a better idea be to penalize anyone (in the MVP race) based on the number of CPU players a team has? Kinda the same way a dot gets penalized for blowout games (stat-wise). This would make "stat hogging" much harder by using CPU filled teams owned for that very purpose.

Shouldn't league owners, coaches, and players just vote for the MVP after regular season anyways instead of some stupid jacked up script? If you are not an owner in that league, or positioned GM, or player in said league, you couldn't vote. Then everyone in that league could just bitch at each other cause their player should of got the votes. Would be way better and the forum lulz would be epic.

Again... if the MVPs that were considered up for voting were only on winning teams (not even playoff teams, but might be even cleaner if it were), then this would be a decent concept to have at the end of the regular season.

Top 5 would be voted on within the league by owners, co-owners, and possibly non-lolgms. This will add to the MVP tally a certain percent, but not an exclusive vote that results in who gets it. About 35% could go towards the end tally to give a bump to who gets the votes.

Voting will never work because it will be a popularity contest, not based on actual achievements on the field. Say you get a team run by 1 person, and it has by far the best returner. But the other top returners are network teams each with the a boatload of coaches. Who do you think is going to win the MVP if it is voted on? Even if you cannot vote for someone on your team, odds are good that you are friends with someone else in the league and will vote for your friend. There needs to be less emphasis on total yards, and more on average. And get rid of that percentage of team yards bullshit.

Boatload of coaches you say, so just limit voting to owners and co-owners. Simple

Again, voting would only be about 30-35% of the final tally

I do agree that team record should be factored into the MVP script. Not given a huge amount of weight, but factored in.

It is against the rules to scam wins, but not to scam the MVP.
