Just to answer the 2 above.
1. you start with 8 TP and get 2 per day so for the first 14 TP, there are no breakthroughs. Should be pretty easy to code this.
2. You would have to use all your TP on the day you created your player or else it would simply change it to 30 at nightly rollover.
I would think there are other issues but surely they can be worked out.
A dot built on Day 40 remains 0 days old until Day 1 of the next season. That would be 8 + (19*2) and, you're right, that isn't hard to code for. What you don't account for, though, is the willingness for some to go above and beyond to exploit the system. I can't put my finger on what's being missed, but something is glaringly missing...
