This would be handy when posting long diatribes or those that contain ASCII, and you want to be sure everything looks ok before you post it.

Instead, you have to post then look to adjust, edit some, look to adjust, etc.
Not that this is often the case, but formatting can be a booger at times.

No biggie, as the "edit" button serves the same purpose, but an edited opening thread post looks funny.

*and that's my suggestion quota for the month of March

Hell... that's me but I still use the edit (and cuss at myself for the mistakes). Dunno how this would make it better/easier.
