So what exactly is the downfall then of not boosting to 4 except you'll be a little less competitive early on?

More than just early-on... you'll be 2 to 3 levels behind other dots of the same age up until plateau, at which point you'll be able to catch up and hit Level 79. You'll also miss out a little bit on VA points, but if you play it right, you'll have better training gains over the long-haul.

So, it just depends on how important the "journey" is. If your entire focus for your dots is just getting them to 79 and you couldn't care less what happens along the way, then you're fine: just adjust your build plan accordingly, and move forward. But if you care about how your dots performs on his way up the ladder, well, he's probably not going to have many chances to excel prior to Plateau, unless you keep re-signing him to good teams in crappy leagues every season.

And yah, the reason sounds a little like this.

With some gameplanning we can still in early on too though and make the playoffs every season. Its just that we wont be boosting until day 48 every season hile others will boost for the playoffs that makes it not really worth it.

As far as superior dots tho. Its as close to SSB as you can get now and still make Pro/WL. Its kinda a no brainer.

Getting the training just right is a little more tricky without boosting to 4, which is why I generally tell people to do so. But yes, I'm the one who proved you actually can get a slightly better dot at plateau by not doing so even though I had legions of people yelling at me that it was wrong, all because some people who can't build that well ended up with crappier players.
