Premium dots, in general, are hard to place. He's very slow and you probably got the order of your attributes wrong (I'm not sure I'd want vision higher than carrying on a HB).
If you want to build premium dots (QB and HB) its best to find a team before building.

The HB on my Regional Minor team is 40 days younger and is at least 5 points faster and your guy had more EQ. That just won't cut it as an elusive back.

alright. lots of people look at effective levels. If you are training speed forever and thus not multi training other primary attributes then how will your effective levels ever get really good. I trained this guys speed to 88 and as soon as it got there, I started training other things. should I have ignored another attribute? I was always under the impression to train primary attribute to 88 and then move on

You don't need 75 vision for a level 79 dots let alone at level 50. You vision should NEVER be higher than your carrying. You just need to build him with speed,agility, and carrying as his top 3 attributes and take them very high!!

ok thanks man. still not sure how his speed is too low when I jacked it up in training, trained it from day one, took it to 88 and then put all equip into it.

my lvl 16 wr has 81 spd (natural). and im pretty sure i could have gotten it higher.

When you trained it....did you enhance it up to 30% and train on intense? Did you save skill points while you trained it and then use those points to reach the next caps? You may not have gotten it that high "soon enough".
