Premium Dot
30 boosts x 300 flex + 900 CEQ + 200 CAEQ + 300 Initial Cost = 10,400 boosting S0

Regular Dot
30 boosts x 200 flex + 900CEQ + 200 CAEQ + 200 Initial Cost = 7300

Lineman
30 boosts x 100 flex + 900 CEQ + 200 CAEQ + 100 Initial Cost = 4200

Makes me want to stay away from boosting dots so I can create more dots to enjoy.. so costly to enjoy more than 1 or 2 dots. Thank god for the free dot slots.

It's really just flex that gets "locked up". I've played on my large stockpile of flex for a long time. It's not like you get nothing back when you retire. That glamour dot is giving you ~7000 flex back on retirement.

The sunk costs, spread across the lifetime of the dot, are pretty small.

very heavy upfront, but over all the time ive played it averages out to <$20 a month to play the game after coasting on recycled flex and buying only when necessary. The problem most people have is over committing dots, or using RP/FP's for the wrong things

^obviously I don't know your flex situation, but I'd bet your pretty far under $20/month. Five years is a long time playing GLB.

I tend to look at it from the time invested perspective. The amount I've spent on this game is so small compared to the hours I've spent on it. It's kind of like paying for expansion sets for video games (do they still do that? lol). Yeah it was an extra $30-40, but a lot of times it meant whole new campaigns and hours into the game.

I just retired some of my old Dharma dots and I jumped from 20K in flex to 139K in flex. Thanks to all that reward point flex, I tend to be able to get full refunds on my flex and use my reward points for sunk costs (like CEQ bonus boosting, scrims, etc.)
