Does staying in the same league level count as a demotion?

If I decide not to advance from semi pro and keeping the team in that level for another season, will this count as a demotion with reset cash and stadium or can I continue where I am at the end of this season?

No you can not but you can buy a normal university and put your team there.

If you want easy wins, the normal leagues are the easiest, as you will face a good number of CPU teams. If you want to play against human owned teams that are pretty good, competitive would be the choice. As far as your best option, I guess it depends upon your goals which is better.
