Possession Receiver - This player catches short passes with ease. Each level of Possession Receiver gives a +2% bonus to making catches shorter than 8 yards, and a +2% bonus to resisting having the ball knocked loose by a tackle, when playing WR or TE.
The way I read that, it's a +2% bonus to resisting having the ball knocked loose by a tackle, period. The 8-yards-or-less restriction only applies to the previous part, before the comma.
