I started a team with mostly my own players in a rookie league. After this season I'm dropping the team and plan to buy a prep team, transferring all my players to that team.

At the end of the season, I doubt my players will be higher than level 15, yet every team outside of the Rookie leagues seems to be stocked with level 30+ players.

What gives? Is this really the structure of this game?

They boosted, you didn't.

As far as looking at prep right now, those players will be in university next season...not prep.

In other words, teams are not static. You move up a tier every season.

Ah so leagues are adjusted?

69 day cap = 2 seasons. 6 levels of boosting doesn't account for that level of disparity.

You are comparing 29 day old dots to 69 day old dots. Those 69 day old dots will be in university next season and most of the players in prep will be 40 days old at the beginning of the season. You have to compare apples to apples. If you want to see what players will be in your team's (the prep you plan to buy) league next season you have to look at the players currently in rookie...not prep.

Ultimately there is no reason to sell your team and purchase a prep team. Your team will become a prep team. You will compete against some of the same teams you faced this season and some who promote to prep from other rookie leagues.

EDIT - Bad info is bad...you have a Pee Wee team. I assumed rookie without looking.

Once I have a Rookie team I can keep it and it'll move up season-to-season, right?

I noticed (after posting, hence my edit) but it really doesn't change the discussion. Pee Wee dots are age 40 when they enter Prep. He'll need to buy a Prep team, and move over, obviously. It will be a rough road, though. I'd almost suggest he start over with a new rookie team to get the 1-4 boosts and to boost as needed for long-term dots.

What part of my posts gave you the idea I thought he was talking about a rookie team he currently owns?
