Whats a good amount of vision for a running back. I think I'm just gonna work on vision, get it to like 30, and then work on speed, agility, stamina, and strength. Is that a decent strategy? I'm level 2 with a lot of vision

It would be a different way to go.
I don't like vision in a RB personally, I think it is overrated.

HB's take a long time to develop period. What makes a elusive/power back is the SA's. All backs need everything close in attributes with one or two better than the rest. The SA's will dictate your running style when you decide what you want to be.

alrighty, well i think ill be an elusive back, so ill work on speed and agility from here on out and then when i get those to like 40 or so ill work on some SA's

It would be worth considering....
All points into one while training the other.

While in the lower levels, there are plenty of "free" points to gain thru training if you play it right.

I have just started a new RB recently to go with my now 17Elusive.
Hopefully, I can avoid what I percieved as early mistakes this time.

There might just be more than one way to skin a cat.

Absolutely.

Just not a way that I would choose.

Who's to say that's not "right"?

Dude might be a frikkin' Barry Sanders!

Good Luck with whichever path you take on your RB.

No doubt about it. Whatever anyone might say or feel, every single character in this game is LOW level. Every toon is a noob, and no one really knows how things will shake out down the road except the devs. One thing seems clear to me though: Bort has made every effort to design things so that the factors that logically influence performance in the real world do the same here.

I think vision is a key attribute, and I'd certainly recommend working on it. 30 is a good, if modest, goal for you to set. My level 22 HB has 39 in vision right now, and I'd still like to get him past that 40 threshold.

Thats smart to do but u still will need stamina to play on the field longer and get those big elusive runs

have you noticed a large difference from watching replays and/or statistically?

do you have a specific reason or evidence for your vision numbers or is it more like playing a hunch?

I suppose it is more of a hunch than anything, since I've been increasing my vision and my other key skills at similar rates. I have seen replays of RB's with poor vision who seem to run right up the back of their linemen/FB's quite a bit, or just miss the hole and run right into the defender. My guy hardly ever misses the hole, or is caught behind the line of scrimmage.

Of course, there are so many variables to consider (i.e. strength of O-line, your opponents defensive strength, your other skills, SA's, etc...) that it is impossible to be completely accurate in your assessment of any skill in this game, unless you have two identical backs on the same team who had exactly the same numbers in every skill except the one you were evaluating.

But based on my "subjective" analysis, vision is a key attribute.
