BECAUSE THIS WON'T POSSIBLY BREAK THE SIM OR DAMAGE THE PRECARIOUS BALANCE THAT HAS BEEN TENTATIVELY ACHIEVED BETWEEN OFFENSE AND DEFENSE.

/twitch

Time for this would've been about 20 seasons ago. The time for major sim overhauls and additions is long past now.

It would be great because it is a part of real football.

but they've basically said they're finished with big changes like that.

Shame.

Ya want Madden? Buy Madden. This ain't Madden.
Also, we already have an issue with this happening as there are dots that CANNOT "move to cover" a specific receiver (Just ask Yellow)... LB's cannot move outside of their imaginary "box"... and much more. And, it took FOREVER just to get blocking pathing as good as it is NOW. So this suggestion is SO NGTH unless Bort and company want to shut down the site for a few weeks and re-code a buncha stuff... test it... scrap it... re-code it again... test it... find 100's of bugs... re-code some more... test it... scrap some... tweak some... find more bugs... test it... re-code some more... find more bugs... test it.....

Motion would be great if it wasn't a sim, but seeing as we cannot adjust the QB progression live, or call audible routes, don't see how this would do anything but waste the Dev's time. What would work with out all the motion programing would be either a SA or VA QB Read Blitz. Would be really cool that once this SA, or VA has points in it the QB tactics page, or the OAI had the ability to add audible routes if Blitz was read. The higher the points in the SA, or VA, the more audible routes, or runs could be added.

The routes or Runs would have to be simple.

For example:
Hooks.
Slants.
Comebacks.
Deep Streaks
HB Screens.

This way, the play formation doesn't get screwed with, the audible only would adjust to the formation that has been called.

Motion is not necessary in a SIM. Motion is designed to confuse the defense and help the QB read the defense. In a SIM, the dots don't get confused like humans do. if their builds are inadequate, they would make the same mistake motion or not.

Correction, the sim confuses the defense enough.

So are steroids and real life issues.

Doesn't mean it inherently makes a good gameplay mechanic.

Why put motion in when 50% of all the pass routes have receivers running into the same area. So first get the receivers to so somewhere intelligent.

Next if you are in zone how do you adjust for the change of strength? Add in another full set of formations like SBB WR2 motion Weak. See how long the list gets.
