Yes. They're not actually free players. They're "free player slots." You have 2 slots that you can put free players in. So at any given moment, you can have up to 2 free players at the same time.
Well, unless you joined after Beta ended, in which case you only get 1 free player slot.

I keep trying to get the wife and kids to play my games but not much interest. Guess "Cool" isn't a genetic trait. Shame. They are missing out.
