Okay..

We've had a very long discussion about helping new agents join this game and have them not fall into the faults of the system that prevent them from having fun until day 40 when they can build a dot properly.

How about a free dot created on day 15 starts out as good as the average 15 day old dot?

You can limit this to Free dots only. That way a new user does not have to wait 20+ days in order to do things right, or people don't tell them to retire, or just mess around, etc. They aren't told to join some boring CPU team.

Let's give them a fighting chance to have fun from day one. They can find a human team, and know that their dot is good enough to compete and make plays, and be desirable to a team with an open spot..

Multi's get busted all the same, whether they start at level 1 or not, so that's not even in the question. There are soo many ways to help these new users out.

This is a guaranteed quality start to helping a absolutely new user blend in and see how things are done, and to join a team to start learning right away!

This would be limited to free dots.

That's key. Otherwise, I'd probably -1 this.

I'll give it a +0.5... maybe limit it further to just the agent's FIRST dot.

The idea can be tweaked by Bort/Catch and Co. But I think it can help a new agent who joins on day 20 jump right into the game!

I like the first dot idea.

if you go by just free dot, anyone would be able to make a dot mid season even the vets... would be pointless.

The first, wasted dot you make midseason and then delete does teach you quite a bit. besides, a newbie wouldnt really be able to build a good day 15 dot anyway.

I guess unless you quit before your second season.

CB gets it... that's what I was concerned about.

But yeah, if it's just the agent's first dot, yep, that's a better and better idea the more I think about it.

The point your missing is, this dot starting out at level 8 would be based off Average effective levels, etc. It's not going to be a perfectly built dot by a veteran.

The Vet builds a better dot and would want to do it better than what would be supplied..

BUT - After further analysis I do agree that letting anyone do this would be a bad idea as I'm sure someone would punch the numbers or find a situation to make doing this best fit them or a team as a whole.

So I think if you limit it to accounts that are less than 20 days old, that would suffice.

this just sounds way way too complicated, determining how many BTs/TPs/the average level 8 etc.
