say i've got 15 quick feet, 15 return man, 15 slippery

that's +60% to success rate of spin
15 slippery means +30% to breaking tackles

i know the cap for % benefit to one event is +75% from VAs. my question is, are my Spins going to benefit from the full +60% and +30% because neither reach the cap, or is some of that going to be capped off because of some order of operations thing in the game where like, it "pulls in all the bonuses from VAs and then checks to see if those are over 75%"

I think break tackle and success rate of spin is two different spec....
and from Bort, it seems va stack follow multiplicative, not additive.

the wiki says something like if a qb has a +90-something % chance bonus to pass quality (from the straight sum of two % bonuses from two VAs), the overall effect is capped at +75%. so in that regard, they appear to stack additively with EACH OTHER before the result is applied to the rolls, multiplicatively.

(right?)

if you mean that they don't stack additively be cause they are two different types of bonuses altogether, that answers my question
edit: aaashi seems to have suggested the same thing. I guess I was just wondering if there was an off chance that something was getting capped.

Spin success chance is not break tackle chance. Those are two very different things. You will have in that case the 30% from slippery to your break tackle roll and your 15 quick feet when determining spin's effect.

Only equal bonuses get capped. A common event is the slippery + yac attack combo.

EDIT: So that random idiots do not message me with this crap:

A) SPIN IS A BREAK TACKLE EFFECT.
B) SPIN SUCCESS CHANCE % IS NOT THE SAME THING AS BREAK TACKLE % FOR THE PURPOSES OF VA STACKING.

BOTH ABOVE PHRASES ARE TRUE AND ARE UNRELATED TO EACH OTHER.

In addition, we are putting a cap on the maximum value a player can receive to a +% modifier from VA's at 75%. So for example if a player has 15 points in Comeback Kid which would give a +60% catch ball chance on passes over 15 yards and 15 points in Clock Manager which gives +37.5% catch ball chance when trailing, if team was trailing and pass was longer then 15 yards the maximum increase to catch ball chance would be +75% instead of the +97.5% chance the current stack would give.

Check what bort said, and I think VA system is the same.
