So, if a situation came up where I couldn't land a worth while human run dot for a position would it be better to take an OOP penalty or use a CPU. Example: Regional Pro dots

Human dot level 79/76 Center with 1398 skill points
CPU Center
Human dot level 79/84 OT with 1368 skill points

Which would be the better option?

for what position?

This would be for the center position. So, would it be better to use the lower effective level Center, a CPU center or an OT with the higher effective level, however fewer skill points in attributes? I know it may be hard to compare the 2 human dots for how effective they really would be, since you can't see what the skill points are in. But, we'll assume the OT has them distributed slightly better into the main attributes of a O-linemen.

effective level means nothing in terms of performance

Use the actual C. That's actually a decent player value, too.

I don't have access to the particulars but I'd bet that an OT playing Center is actually 2 positions OOP. A Guard would be a better choice. (Guards for centers... tackles for guards.) So, if that's correct... then Romo is right. having a dot playing more than 1 position OOP would reduce his effectiveness enough that a CPU dot would actually be better. (Can't believe I'd say that. )

No, I'd still take an OOP OT at C than a CPU. That's not even an argument.

Me too, but if I could I would rather play G there if it was possible with roster.

Your first reply just TOLD him to use the CPU center rather than his OT. Now you say use the OT rather than the CPU center. One of these things is not like the other... dude.

I think you misunderstood Romo's first post. The OP seems to list 3 options: a 79/76 C, a CPU, and a 79/84 OT. Romo was suggesting that the 79/76 C was the correct option, not the CPU C

Yeah dude, use the 79/76 center... that's actually a pretty good center, I'd take that on my Cas Pro team. Center's have fucked up ELs, you gotta look at their SP value.

im a bit confused... its a G you guys really need, you already have at least one decent C.
now, you are short a G, unless you use your ST OT as LOT and have one of the run blocking OTs play G.
otherwise, you could use your blocking TE as an OT; it doesn't seem to be a big OOPP for that...

in any event, i'd be more worried about the G position right now than the C

My team just signed its first C. With a CPU C, the Matchup showed Blocking at 48. When I moved my backup G to C, it improved to 51 and when I replaced him with my real C, it went up to 54.

To state the obvious, don't rely on lolbars. They are based off formulas that Bort created purely for the bar. They don't equate to actual performance.
