You should be able to use a Credit card (visa gift card included I believe) through the paypal processing gateway. It'll still send you to paypal and at that point you'll just proceed as if you don't have a PP account.

I had a REALLY HORRIBLE paypal experience while overseas and refuse to do business with them. don't want to log in to my paypal account but can't use any cards I've used before without logging in, so wondering about the gift card thing. will give it a try.

You have to make sure your gift card is registered. I did this once bit you have to call the card company and have your address info linked to your card.

This is not true. I've done it a few times. It'll ask if I'm sure I don't want to log in and if I'm sure I'd like to complete the transaction as a guest (or similar term).

For Gift Cards:
1. Buy gift card (It has to be a Visa Gift Card)
2. Activate/register it online or by phone
3. When activating/registering make sure that the name and address that you input matches what you're going to put into the purchase screen
4. Go to purchase screen (it's probably best to bypass registering/logging into PayPal)
5. Type in your info and follow the directions
6. Receive Flex

6. Receive Flex
I'd like to know how to buy flex without actually spending money or charging it on a CC

You aren't the only one with a bad paypal experience. For the longest time I simply used my Debit card and did an end-around on paypal... then, for some very strange reason, the site changed the flex purchase page (either GLB or Paypal... which will still show up always as the "prime option"... and you have to NOT choose to use them in order to 'get around' them)... and now it won't take my debit card. I also posted questions about this and contacted support and they advised using the "Visa gift card" as well. Good luck and let me know how it worked out. I haven't bought flex for quite a while due to this damn stupid paypal business.

All transactions go through PayPal. Has always been like that.
You don't have to login. You'll still be able to use debit and credit alike even if you don't log into a PayPal account. I've purchased flex with all 3 forms of typical payment (debit/credit/Visa giftcard)
